When I first published my book ‘Cheers’, I contacted many rehabilitation related websites telling them about my book. Back then I received a very good responses. Some sites, like Wired into recovery, even mentioned and recommended by book.
At the beginning of 2012 there was a call for evidence by the Health Committee of the British House of Commons. I sent in my story and a link to my book. The rather unusual fact that a Dutch national, living in Spain has been able to supply information to shape the British Alcohol Strategy is of course an interesting fact. This was also picked up by a Spanish local expat newspaper called Olive Press who wrote an article about me.
